Isle of Man Programme Schedule
The Programme in Company Direction has been offered by the Isle of Man International Business School, in conjunction with the University of Salford and the IoD, since 2002.
You may attend any of the individual courses listed below to update yourself on specific skills and you do not need to be an IoD member to take part.
Certificate in Company Direction Courses
- Role of the Director & the Board (2 days)
- Finance for Non-Financial Directors (3 days)
- Directors Role in Strategy & Marketing (3 days)
- Directors Role in Leading the Organisation (2 days)
All Certificate courses are supported by online resources.
Diploma In Company Direction Course
To be eligible to attend the 'Developing Board Performance' module you need to hold the Certificate in Company Direction or or have attended the four Certificate courses.
The four Certificate courses prepare delegates for the Certificate in Company Direction examination. The Diploma course, Developing Board Performance, prepares candidates for the Diploma in Company Direction examination.
Only holders of the Diploma in Company Direction are eligible to be considered for the award of Chartered Director status. Taking the entire set of five courses is therefore a step towards gaining Chartered Director (CDir) status. .Our aim is to provide a Programme which is flexible, enjoyable and accessible to Manx professionals and we hope there will be some part of the Programme to suit you.
