This book is now available in other languages, and in hard-copy.

The hard-copy is the English version, and was published by International Thomson Computer Press 1996: ISBN 1-85032-176-0.

Versions in the other languages have been produced using the SYSTRANMT machine translation system during 1995. No attempt has been made to "improve" or "correct" these translations, so you can judge for yourself the state of the art in machine translation. Hopefully these other language versions will be of use to some students who are not fluent in English.

The following language versions are available or planned:

• English original
• French machine translation
• German machine translation (not yet)
• Italian machine translation (not yet)
• Portugese machine translation (not yet)
• Spanish machine translation (not yet)

The English version was updated in 1997 to be in line with the hard-copy book, and to add some colour. The French version has not yet been updated.
