Suggested Topics
Research active academics have suggested a number of PhD topics (in fields ranging from Project Management, Finance and Marketing to the London Olympics, Trade Unions and Survival Analysis) that they would like to supervise.
Suggested topics act as the starting point of your doctoral research, and will be developed as a result of discussion between you and your supervisor(s).
Write Your Own Proposal
You can, of course, still follow the more traditional path of writing your own proposal for a topic of your choice.
The research proposal is a crucial part of your application; we would advise you to discuss this proposal with the Director of Postgraduate Research Programmes, Professor Phil Scarf, to make sure you understand what is expected in your subject area.
