David Forrest is an applied economist and econometrician who specialises in analysis of the sports and gambling industries.
Qualifications
BA (Liverpool), MA (Manchester), Ph. D. (Western Ontario)
Teaching
David Forrest offers two full modules on 'Economics of Gambling', available as a sequence in levels 2 and 3. He contributes to level 2 modules, 'Introduction to Gambling' and 'Sports Economics I'. He is also responsible for 'Managerial Economics' (level 3)
Enterprise
Experienced in work on the gambling sector, with clients including such high profile organisations as Ladbrokes and the National Lottery Commission.
Research
Contributes substantially to literature on sport and gambling markets. Outlets include such as Economic Inquiry, Southern Economic Journal, Scottish Journal of Political Economy, International Journal of Forecasting and European Journal of Operational Research.
